Mr. Guarnieri launched his career at a prestigious Boston-based venture capital firm before advancing into corporate lending and M&A roles at BankBoston. His early career was marked by a strong foundation in finance and strategic deal-making, setting the stage for his impressive trajectory in the hospitality and food service industries.
At Compass Group, a global leader in food service management and support services with annual revenues exceeding $30 billion, Mr. Guarnieri quickly distinguished himself. He became the youngest-ever Director of Finance & Accounting in the company's history within its $600 million division. In this role, he managed extensive client relationships with full fiduciary responsibility, ensuring operational excellence across food and beverage functions at world-class events, including the US Open Tennis, PGA tournaments, Breeders’ Cup, NFL stadiums, and premier performing arts venues across the U.S. Additionally, he was integral to overseeing a portfolio of 12 multi-concept restaurants in New York City, spanning casual to fine dining.
Currently, as the driving force behind MEGALO Hospitality Group (MHG), Mr. Guarnieri leverages his extensive expertise to help clients achieve unparalleled success. MHG's diverse portfolio includes consumer brands and luxury hotel properties. Notably, MHG, under a third-party agreement, managed the award-winning food and beverage operations at Marriott’s flagship W Hotel South Beach as CEO/CFO for over 12 years.
In a bold and visionary endeavor, MHG spearheads the Hospitality Asset Division for Growth Holdings and its revolutionary hotel brand, Otonomous Hotel, the world’s first fully AI-powered renewable energy eco-friendly hospitality experience. Scheduled to debut in March 2025 in Las Vegas, this groundbreaking 300+ room resort-style property will integrate proprietary IT systems and showcase multiple state-of-the-art food and beverage outlets. With expansion plans already in motion, future locations are slated for some of the nation’s most sought-after destinations, including Napa Valley, Palm Desert, Los Angeles, San Diego, Scottsdale, Denver, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans, Nashville, Charleston, Tampa, Miami, and Key West.

A Brooklyn native from a family of chefs, Sani launched his career at just 15 working in restaurants and has since become a respected leader within New York’s most elite establishments. His tenure includes roles as Director of Food and Beverage at the New York Marriott Downtown and Executive Chef at the renowned Plaza Hotel, where he advanced guest experiences through an exceptional blend of culinary creativity and operational precision.
Sani’s strategic vision and adeptness at optimizing operations without compromising quality have set him apart as an industry leader. His impact is evidenced by the successful launch of groundbreaking projects such as The Beast at Area 15, as well as high-profile partnerships with culinary luminaries like Todd English in Las Vegas. With a deep expertise in concept development, operational scaling, and profitability enhancement, Sani ensures that each venture achieves unparalleled success, consistently raising the bar in large-scale hospitality operations.
